Dr. Tracy Schauer grew up in Williston, North Dakota and received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. She then completed a doctor of optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton.
Dr. Schauer lived in the Twin Cities area between undergraduate and graduate school where she met her husband, Jeff. They married while living in California and returned to Minnesota in 2003 to be closer to family.
After moving to Monticello in 2008, Dr. Schauer periodically filled in for Drs. Happ and Gregory at Uptown Eye Care. She practiced at West Metro Ophthalmology until she reunited with Uptown Eye Care in 2012.
When not working, Dr. Schauer most enjoys spending time with her family. They are actively involved in their church and especially enjoy spending time at the lake in the summer. Dr. Schauer and her husband reside in Buffalo with their two sons.
Dr. Schauer practices comprehensive optometry, including the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, dry eyes and diabetic eye disease. She offers emergency eye care, such as treating eye infections, corneal abrasions, removing metal from the eye and evaluation for a retinal detachment. Dr. Schauer enjoys educating patients of all ages on their ocular health will always take the time to best care for their individual needs.
