Dan Gregory was born in Truman, Minnesota. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Southwest State University and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Iowa State University.
Upon completing hes doctorate, Dr. Gregory began his professional career as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of Minnesota-Morris. The next year he moved to St. Cloud State University. He began his time at SCSU as an Associate Professor and was promoted to the rank of full Professor of Chemistry. After 10 years as a chemistry professor, he transitioned into administration at SCSU. During his 13 years as a leader in higher education, Dr. Gregory has served as Chair of the Chemistry Department, Associate Vice-President for Research, Dean of the Graduate School, Dean of the college of Science and Engineering, acting Chief Financial Officer and Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs.
Dr Gregory transitioned from higher education to Uptown Eye Care in 2022 and leads team development and business strategies.
